Our History

Located outside of Rustburg Virginia on a scenic twenty-one acre plot; RakTika Farms was established in 2020 by Mercy Barr and Runicia Miller. 

    Mercy, originally born in Lynchburg and raised in Danville, was looking for a place to relax and settle down after her time spent in the US Military. She eventually settled on the quiet lifestyle of Rustburg Virginia and quickly began to dream of ways to spend her days with her family and four dogs. Adopting beekeeping as a hobby, she quickly began to develop a love and interest in beekeeping as more than just a pass time. Wishing to expand more than just beekeeping, Mercy became interested in raising chickens for eggs and expanding to growing fresh produce.
 
    Runicia Miller was born and raised in Hartford Connecticut, but decided to leave the big city life and instead opted to move down to the south to further her dreams of horses.
